The Moonee Valley Beekeepers Club Inc. was formed by several beekeepers and bee enthusiasts based in the Moonee Valley area who together are keen to promote and enhance beekeeping practice within the community. MVBC has a strong relationship with the Rotary Club of Essendon, which is currently overseeing the Bee-Happy Project and also marked its own centennial with the 100 Beehive Project. Though centered in Moonee Valley, the club welcomes anyone from any area. MVBC aims to provide support and education for beekeepers. Additionally, the club seeks to foster improvements to environments for pollinators in local areas.
